If, however, we read through your text and decide that it is already the best that it can be we will bill you for the time we spent reading it but we will not charge you for a full edit. In fact, we'll congratulate you and probably offer you a job! In our experience, we have found that even the most experienced writer can benefit from putting their work in front of fresh eyes. A professional edit will bring your work significantly closer to being ready for acceptance by a publisher. Keep in mind that often retailers will ask you if your self-published book was professionally edited.
